02FEB2008

First things first. We have moved to our own place! We are so excited to be living as a family again and Aunt Jules is excited because we live about a five minute walk from her house.

Jordan is currently working for the state doing computer stuff and Haley cleans some houses on the side but mostly stays home with the kids to be a mommy.

Seven is growing by leaps and bounds and loves living in his “new house” with his little brother. He is talking more and more and has finally branched out to other things besides just Cars Movie. It is by far still his favorite, but at least he will watch veggie tales and some others from time to time and enjoy them. He loves his little brother and they are beginning to play more and more together as Michael has become more mobile.

Michael has been crawling for a few months now and has started to stand and climb on furniture some. He will no doubt be mobile on his feet instead of all fours very soon.

Thank you for stopping by and checking up on our family. The blogs will be getting updates as my computer is now up and running and we are getting more settled in our new home.

01Aug2007

UPDATE: Both Haley and I got new Oregon numbers so if you haven’t gotten an email or text with the new number then click on the “Email Me” button at the top of the page and let me know so we can get everyone updated.

Normally I don’t welcome change, but when it comes to web layouts I like to change often because I’m told some of you think that if this main page isn’t updated neither are the blogs. Well I’m here to tell you that though the site updates have been slow lately they change much more often if you check the blogs on the right hand side.

Well as most of you know Daddy has come home for good now and our little family is back together. Currently we are living in Oregon and it would appear we will be here for good now. Some are happy to hear that and some may not be as happy. We will for sure still visit our friends in Washington, but we know for now this is where we are supposed to be.

We are enjoying being a family again and it is so much fun seeing the boys grow up. They both are different in so many ways but yet are so alike too.

Michael is starting to crawl and loves the sound of his own voice. While Seven likes to pretend he is a baby. Seven is officially out of diapers for good now and we as parents are enjoying every minute of that.

We hope to get some more pictures up and will keep you all up to date on where we end up living (for now it is with the parents) here in Oregon. I’m sure our numbers will change soon so be sure to keep in touch and we will do the best to get you all updated with all of our contact information as quickly as possible.

I know some people change their email addresses when they move and that never made much sense to me, but ours will remain the same. So if you don’t get an update by email or some other means then you can request any info that you need by clicking the mail icon at the top of the page.

Thank you all for stopping by and we hope that you enjoy the pictures of our little family growing up. Stop by the blogs on the right and leave a comment to let us know you did. We enjoy seeing all the different people from all over (even some that are friends of friends) leave comments so we know who we are actually typing to. Also if you have a minute stop by some of our friends blogs. You can find the links to those inside all of our blogs.

14JUL2007 -

Well it was time for a new look on the homepage of Sevenator.net (sorry dot com). Much has been happening but the updates have been slow. We want to keep the updates more frequent but the whole living across the country thing wears on you some and also makes it hard for the one updating the site because there is much less to blog about due to the fact that where most of the action is happens to be 2500 miles away (give or take a couple hundred). Which brings me to my next topic.

I will keep it short here on the front page and you can check Socket’s Domain for more detailed info as I get it, but there have been some changes in future plans. Although it wasn’t our choice, but the doctor’s choice who after reviewing x-rays has recommended a discharge due to injuries that have not improved and will not in the foreseeable future. Nothing is 100% at this time but it appears as though our family will be back together for good within the next 4-6 weeks (end of July to mid August). This isn’t what we had planned on happening and it is a let down in some ways, but at the same time the silver lining to this cloud is very obvious.

The boys are growing up fast as you can see by the pictures (more to come shortly) and seem to be getting along very well at this time. Seven loves having a little brother around much to our joy and seems to have none of the normal signs you might anticipate like jealously... etc etc. We are very excited to soon be back together as a family... and for Daddy to actually meet Michael.

Thank you for stopping by. Let us know what you think of the pictures and updates, and keep checking back for more updates on where we will be living/what the future holds.

16May2007 -

What a big day this has turned out to be. Michael has decided to grace the world with his presence finally, and Haley is happy to have him out. Our family has successfully managed doubled in size in just six and a half years (plus or minus a few months). Not only that, but this is the day that Jordan says goodbye to Fort Benning and Georgia for awhile and has spent the whole day traveling and by the looks of it will be until at least tomorrow. So we have added a new member to the family and will be moving as soon as Michael is ready to be moved. (for more info on that check Socket’s Domain for updates to come).

Seven has met his new brother and playmate. He seems to like him for now and has been introducing him to cars with several tutorials on how they can be driven across your forehead.

A new blog has been added for updates on Michael so take a trip over and check out the new stomping grounds for Michael David on the WWW.

16June2007-

Well the new blogs are up and running now and all seems to be working well. I have all the links to previous pictures up on the new blogs and down below on the left of this page you can look at past blog posts by following the links to the old blog pages.

I am still working on getting Haley to try and post some of the content so you can get more accurate stories than ones that I hear third party while I reside at Ft Benning GA.

Seven is growing up fast and learning to talk even faster. Hopefully (if all goes as planned) he will be fully trained and ready to take care of Michael as soon as he decides to show up.

Currently our family is still living on different sides of the country and counting the days to when we get to live together again. Unfortunately the Army being what it is, and training schedules even worse. We don’t know the exact amount of days that will be. But we do know that every day we are closer, so that is comforting.

Please enjoy these blogs, updates and pictures and if you feel so inclined (some more than others) you can leave a comment, thought or suggestion. Or here is a novel idea, just say hi and let us know who you are and that you visit the site. Its fun to see who visits and I’m constantly surprised at who actually comes here on a regular basis for updates/entertainment on the web.

01OCT2006 -

Well here we are again with a new look! Which is probably the last new look we will have for awhile because the board has voted and we aren’t going to let Haley edit the main page. The reasons are many, but long story short we want you to at least be able to get to this first page for the next 6 months.

Many things are about the change for our family and we are all filled with excitement and anticipation for the changes ahead.

Seven is growing up very fast and it takes much of our energy to keep up with his fast paced play plan. He is exclusively walking/running and talks up a storm. Not in any coherent language that we can tell, unless it is Klingon which in that case we wouldn’t understand it anyway. He sure likes to talk though. He is very into talking with his hands as well. Every mumble has a new hand gesture and he will look at you in the eyes as if you totally understand what he is trying to convey.

He is also growing in his engineering skills as well. Just the other day he got 2 Lego pieces put together and held them up with a joyous look on his face as if to say “eureka, I’ve figured it out”. He still can only shut doors, which usually means that he is stuck in a room screaming, but no progress on opening the door yet. He has successfully solved the lid on the animal crackers barrel, and likes to open it up and get his own food. All in all he is a pretty crazy kid to live with.

Just a minute ago Mommy found about 10 marbles in his mouth from the flower pot and we aren’t sure if we may be seeing some interesting things in the refuse catch.

-------comment updates-------

We are so glad that all of you come and keep up on our family and the current happenings. Some of you have been leaving feedback and comments, but there are many who are visiting the site and not leaving their mark. If you want to see more updates in the future you must let us know your thoughts. You can even leave a picture in your comment if you have one that you would like to add to the updates.

01AUG2006 - A New Photo Update and a New Feature!

UPDATE: The comment system “was” up and running and no one had used it yet. Which was good because it has been changed for the better and now you can leave comments and in addition if you have photos that you would like to upload you can post those in the comments. Now go and try out the comment system please.

Well it has been a busy month that has gone by since much has happened here, but we have a few things that I think you just might like.

Much has been happening in our family so that puts a damper on the amount of updates that we can do to the website (that “we” is purely  figurative, we have a one man crew that works on this site and continues to bring you an improved experience and new photos however infrequent that may be)

We’ve been havening a good time since the last page addition. Aunt Jules graduated, Cousin Addam got married, We had our 6 year anniversary, Seven turned One Year old, Our weight loss competition finally came to an end (click on the link to “Sockets Domain” on the right hand side of this page for more info on the results) and tomorrow is Haley’s birthday!

Now that we have gotten through some of the things/excuses for this website not being updated we will get onto what has been added. First off there is a new photo update on Seven’s Blog!

You can check that out to see what is new with him and the many new “faces of Seven”. There aren’t too many pictures because we had fewer that turned out that well this go around.

There has also been a new comment feature added to each blog entry. Now pay attention very closely to what I’m saying now. This feature allows the people that view this site regularly to leave a little feedback. It will be monitored so if someone says something inappropriate, crude or is a spammer it will be removed. Up until now the only option that you had was to email your comments and suggestions. You are still more than welcome to do so, but I think that you may find this a little more fun because others can now read the funny or cute comments that you would like to make about some of the pictures, updates or website. It is extremely easy to use and to view or leave a comment all that you have to do is click on the “add a comment” button at the bottom of the page and either fill out and leave a comment, or read some of the ones already left. This also allows you to be able to see if someone responded to something that you may have written as well.

Now I know that you are all eager to go see the new pictures, but please for the sake of the guy that spends his spare time making things look neat and pretty on this page try out the comment system and see what you think. As a practice run (and to see if you actually read this far) go leave a comment in my new entry in “Sockets Domain”. Drop a note in there and let us know what you think, who you are and if you maybe have a suggestion for things that you would like to see on this page. Who knows, others may like your idea and leave a follow-up asking for the same thing.

I’m not saying that your suggestions will be taken seriously by any means at all. Remember, it’s just practice.

Also there will be a link to the front page archives at the bottom of the main page so that if you want to go back and see what has been covered here in the past you can do so.

03JUN2006 - A New Face Again!

We were getting tired of the same old same old. And some people were confused by the quote bubble “this website is currently under construction... sorry for the convenience”. While it wasn’t expected that a lot of people get that joke (it was a Mitch Hedberg reference for the few that were curious) it did start a wave of panic that it was never going to be finished and ready for the public. Alas we must announce that it is not under construction, but is frequently having new content added. So in a sense it is always under construction, but not the bad kind that reduces I-5 in downtown to a mere one lane during friday afternoon rush hour. You will still be able to view past and present photos until further notice.

If you have any suggestions for new content or would like to see updates of particular things that seven does then don’t hesitate to click the “Email Me” button and hit me with your best shot, fire away.

A few things have changed though that will make it easier for you to share with your friends the joy of this web page. But we know that everyone comes here for the sb emails anyway. Most of you use one of the two older addresses to get to this web page.

http://hompage.mac.com/jordan.lambert

http://web.mac.com/jordan.lambert/iWeb

Well effective more than immediately (it has actually worked for about a month) you can get to this page by going to

www.sevenator.com

We did this because it is slightly easier to remember and give to people and there is no more explaining that the “W” in iWeb has to be uppercase. Plus it is cool. Think of the time that you will save over the next few years not having to type out the whole old link all the time. Like 5 minutes. So enjoy your extra 5 minutes that you have this year and take a look around.
